When you rent at Saint Andrew's, you are supporting our social justice programs and ministries, which are all part of our active, involved, and community-led congregation.

What We Offer
All are welcome Saint Andrew's. We actively work to offer a safer space for people of all backgrounds, genders, sexual & romantic orientations, faith traditions, ages, and abilities.
We are centrally located, close to downtown, Spring Garden Road, and Dalhousie University, only two blocks from the Public Gardens. Our building is wheelchair accessible, with onsite, single-user gender neutral washrooms.
Unfortunately, there is no parking onsite, however, side street parking is available, mostly metered and timed. During daytime hours Monday - Friday, there is paid parking across the street at the Halifax Professional Center. We are also directly on a transit route.
Wifi is included and available throughout the building. Tables & chairs are available to use in all rooms. We have a variety of tech and AV equipment available that can be included in your rental - please request a list of AV Equipment.

With prior approval from Saint Andrew's, you are welcome to serve alcohol at your event. Please obtain a liquor license.
All rentals require liability insurance. We recommend several cost effective options in the section below, and you are welcome to arrange your own insurance as well.
Non-Profit Rental Rates
For non-profit groups where the main purpose is the betterment of the community/congregation, a group that has no significant source of funding, or Church members/adherents who wish to use church facilities for a social/recreational purpose.
For rentals that take place outside of office hours, an additional staff charge will apply at $25/hour.
Don’t forget to include the cost of liability insurance in your rental budget too!

Private Rental Rates
Private rental rates apply to private individuals/enterprise groups, non-profit groups where admission is charged, or where the function is open to the public but does not benefit the broader community.

Liability Insurance
To keep you and your participants/attendees safe, as well as to ensure coverage in the event of an accident or facility damage, we require that all rentals have liability insurance.
We have preferred pricing with Duuo - an easy and cost effective way to get insurance online, which is best for one time events. Our registered venue is listed as "St. Andrew's United Church (The Stage at St. Andrew's)" .
For ongoing meetings or events, there is also reasonably priced insurance offered with the United Church of Canada, through HUB International.
